Pregnancy, postpartum, parenting-

If you are planning on starting a family, pregnant, postpartum, or a caregiver in any capacity, I am here to help you on your path. You may be navigating grief, loss, fertility concerns, or trying to adapt to this new normal.

Life as a new parent can be isolating and challenging. Becoming a new parent is a time of transformation and change. It may trigger things from your childhood or past. Stressors come up during this vulnerable and precious period of change. You are not alone, there is support.

Having completed certificate training through Postpartum Support International and Gottman Institute, I have the skills and experience to guide you and your family during this transition. Together we can discuss how to integrate all parts of your identity into your new life. I have experience working with families who have a child with a chronic illness, developmental delay, or difference in ability. I am confident working with families of all backgrounds and identities.

Together we will find ways to help you and your family cope and thrive during this time period.

Therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions-

Pain, stress, feeling overwhelmed are part of the human condition. And there is a path to healing, growth, and living a life more fully. I help bear witness to emotions and traumas that can be overwhelming to navigate alone. In therapy we create a safe place to process and reflect. Using evidence based interventions and finding new coping techniques you can decrease suffering and symptoms that cause distress.

With humor, empathy, and curiosity, we can find tools that are authentic to you. Together we can find ways to manage stressors and help you grow.

  • Individual sessions weekly or bi-weekly (based on clinical recommendation)

Couples therapy-

When working with couples my client is your relationship. My goal is to highlight the strength and love that already exists. You chose your partner for a reason. Together, we can find our way back to that reason and build upon that history.

Conflict is normal in any healthy relationship. You can find ways to improve communication, decrease conflict, increase positive regard, add playfulness, and find the passion in your relationship. Therapy can put you on the path to a stronger partnership. I have completed Gottman Method trainings and am passionate about helping couples improve their relationship.

Clinical Supervision-

As an LCSW who has been in the field since 2013, I am able provide clinical supervision for ACSWs. I am passionate about supervising ACSWs seeking licensure, increasing their clinical tools, and expertise. I have experience as a field instructor and supervisor. I find it gratifying to help fellow clinicians achieve their goals and reach their potential. I am a social justice oriented clinician, and I strive to embody my social work ethics and values.

Location and payment-

Currently, I am providing services via a secure, HIPAA-compliant, tele-health platform.

Fees:

  • $185 for individuals for a 50 minute session

  • $225 for couples for a 60 minute session

  • I do accept Blue Shield of CA PPO.

  • I do provide a sliding scale fee based on need or income.

  • In addition to my private practice, I work with Octave Behavioral Health. At Octave, I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, and Health Net / MHN commercial insurance plans. If you have coverage under one of these plans, please visit findoctave.com to schedule an appointment.

Confidentiality-

You can rest assured that what you share in therapy is confidential and protected. Protecting your privacy is paramount to me as a therapist. Maintaining confidentiality is critical to my clinical values, ethics, and licensure as a psychotherapist, and social worker. There are some exceptions to confidentiality, such as duty to warn and duty to protect.

  • If the client may pose immediate danger to self or others.

  • If the client is endangering a vulnerable population, such as cases involving child abuse, or elder abuse.

  • If required to share diagnosis information to obtain payment for services.

  • For clinical consultation purposes with other clinicians, but no identifying information may be shared.

  • If required to do so by state or federal laws.
